Wise Wilson & Spurs’ Young Stars

WILSON!!!!(?)

WILSON!!!!(?)

Harry Redknapp knows it; and it’s safe to say that we all know it too. Wilson is arguably more central to the success of our side that Luka Modric. Whilst this might seem a hefty claim to make as Palacios is somewhat of a departure from the lofty expectations of flair and guile that legendary players at our club are known for. Nevertheless it seems that the yids’ hearts have warmed to the invaluable qualities that Wilson brings to the side on an almost instant basis. Simply put it’s no coincidence that his arrival along with that of Robbie Keane has turned the fortunes of the club.

Whilst Robbie still finds himself somewhat out at sea; (though his leadership around the place is hard to judge from the stands or the sitting); Wilson is truly unsubable; and; when fit the first name on the team sheet. What is a strength can also be a weakness though; and it can be said that once other teams highlight Wilson as the crux of our team; taking him out of the game through giving him a kick; or exasperating his challenges. Notably this is what happened against Manchester United last weekend when Scholes’ folly meant both an equalizer; and Wilson’s withdrawal, on the grounds that losing him for the Chelsea game would be devastating to a squad that is already missing the influence of Luka.

Answer? Bring more like the lad in; or failing that, somehow find a coach that can instill a work ethic into Jermain Jenas; whether by hook or crook. Sandro in January? Yes please. (If he turns into Lucas perhaps a 12 month warranty should be put into the contract; I know you read this Dan.) Also; consider promoting Luka and Wilson, if Keane decides to join his other childhood club in the near future. Though this isn’t very likely at all.

In other news; turns out that turning down the reserves league could have been another masterstroke by the gaffer; as the amount of game time that our lads are receiving in the lower leagues has led to call ups for three more  of our young talents into the England under-19s. These include: Ryan Mason, Adam Smith, Stephen Caulker and Dean Parrett, Mason in particular seems to be getting rave reviews.

With our loanees playing games week in, week out that actually mean something it’s safe to say that; the future’s bright, the  future’s lilywhite.
